The day two review!! We again arrived a little early to do some street team stuff and caught the boys practicing a few songs for the upcoming Hendrix/Clapton show. Sorry I'm not giving any hints but since I can't go to the show I'll take what I can get! The band started the show with Blues in Technicolor. I really liked it-and it's also my favorite CD. Early in the first set Anthony surprised us with a newer than new song called Super Love. This will not be on the upcoming Cd-it will be on "THE NEXT' CD wich will be full electric again!! This will be a hit! I have to admit I was a little worried tonite as the crowd seemed a little mellow compared to last night but when the band started Love Sweet Love it seemed that all of the "liquid energy" must have kicked in.The set ended with Circles-again I'm not sure if thats the title but now have seen Anthony three times and the crowd always goes NUTS! .
The seconed set started out rockin' and it wasn't long before the band was in BLUEBIRD!! This always seems to be a crowd favorite with lots of singing along. The band then went into a Hendrix cover of Spanish Castle Magic(I can't believe I botched the name soo bad on last nights review)! After Music is the Medicine Anthony did a special request for a friend called I won't Let You Down. It was nice of Anthony to do but to be honest I felt the show was rockin' at this point and this seemed to slow it down a lot!(I know AG everyones a critic). The show did finish strong though with two of my favorite songs of the night. The band ended with Blind Dog(such a fun song) and closed with Purple Haze-tricking me for I thought Voodoo Child was going to close!
Again thanks to Paul for bringing Anthony back!! It was fun to do the street team and to see the guys on back to back nights! See you guys in August at the Gloucester Blues Fest!!
