Hello Y'all!
Without any driving for the next gig I was able to vegetate... er.... meditate... 'til noon.
We had an appointment with Mr. and Mrs. B for lunch. And what a fine lunch it was. Nobody stopped me from eating, so I couldn't have dinner or breakfast. Thanks Paul!
Anthony's mission statement is to celebrate life, dance and be happy. And in the words of the great Paul B., "If you ain't having a good time, it's your own damn fault!" My man.
Thanks to my new friend Al (we crossed the 10 handshake mark) for requesting "I Won't Let You Down". It's been a while since I've heard that fine tune. AG's bantering with the crowd turned 'Voodoo Moon' into a sing along. How did that happen? Everybody was singing in their deep "real" voices.
Paul's unique way of introducing the band for the second set, one person at a time, was really cool but I'm glad we don't have a 12 piece band. We'd still be there!
AG keeps cranking out new tunes. His new album comes out in two weeks but his NEXT NEXT album comes out early next year. The band played a bit of a new song that might be on that CD called "Superlove". It's a hit!
The guys played "Circles" with audience participation. I don't know if Anthony knows it but that building is over a hundred years old. He had the crowd jumping in unison. I was is fear that the structural integrity of the building could not survive such a trashing due to my expert knowledge of physics. I slowly made my way to the emergency exit.
Thank you Carol for the two superhugs. I don't think we'll need five. I will remember you.
Happy Birthday Greta. Due to our extreme conversation I will remember you Lisa. Ah... I mean Greta.
We had some Canadians in the house, but I didn't recognize them because they didn't dress any differently then us Americans.
Thank you to the three sisters for lifting my spirits.
What a great run so far. It's hard to type while I'm driving, so I'm gonna keep this one short.
Next stop Kalamazoo!
Over and Out.
Your Conductor,
Lothar
