Listening to the CD for like the fifth time since receiving it yesterday so time to do a review!! First of all not a big unplugged guy-more of an electric blues guy-so went into the CD wanting to like it but hoping for the best. I like the start with BFTB setting tone for what the CD is all about and a nice segway into Blues is Good. Blues is Good is indeed good-nothing complicated here-much like this CD old blues style. Lady Soul sounds like it could be from the fifties with AG's vocals blending niceley with the girls. So good start for me with the CD so far but then we get to Love is Everything-I have a hard time listening to this song since it sounds so much like When Your Down And Out off of Claptons Unplugged CD. I know nothing is really "original" and EC probaly copied someone else for this song-but with AG being such a big EC fan- really! O.K. so right after blasting AG he follows with my two favorite songs on the CD!! Sinners Song and Golden Wings are fantastic songs!! Love the lyrics and arrangements on these songs!! Plus seeing the band preview Golden Wings last year was awesome!! Lets fall in Love is much like Lady Soul-very catchy-sounds like it could be played at the car hop(some may need to look this up)!! Rescue ME!! This is what blues is all about!! Again AG's vocals are stellar on this song-"and I can't hold on and I can't let go"-before the nice solo!! Get the cig lighters out! Time for the ballad!! Beautiful Goodbye-my wife loves this song-enough said!! Here was the big surprise BITC unplugged. One of my favorite AG songs off of my favorite AG CD-anyone who does not own this and is an Anthony fan must find it!! Oh sorry back to BTB. This a really cool version of BITC!! I never really pictured this unplugged but Anthony definitley gets the right sound on this song!! I'm gonna ride that old ten wheeler down the line!! Hell Yah!! Another great song with the band and the melodies sounding killer together!! I really like how this song ends with the up tempo(and nice solo-did I hear a little of up to zero?) going into The End Comes. Overall I was very happy with this CD. As with most unplugged CD's the artists voice have to be good. This is what sets Anthony apart from so many others as his vocals are simply incredible on this CD!! Again very happy-thought this was a risk after the popularity of Up to Zero but of course AG pulled it off!!
