Hey Anthony, When I last saw you at the Boulevard in Apollo Beach, I noticed you went to twin Marshalls and 412 cabs. I'll assume they are both 79 heads. What made you change from the Marshall/ Super Reverb set up you played for so long? Sounds has to be loud which accounts for the plexiglas front............ What speakers are you running in those cabs? Last time I asked, you were running both amps separately...... not daisey chained.... off of the H20 pedal...still the same?

Yes, both amps are 79 heads. I love the Super, but I like to change things up. These amps are master volume models so the volume doesn't get out of hand. I put the baffle to help the sound be less directional. You see, I'd be ripping people's heads off sitting in front of the amps and people on the sides of the room would be asking me to turn up. The baffle helps this. It also has been great for singing too. I am using Greenbacks. I will probably be changing the speakers in one of them to have some tonal variation. Yes, still being run off of the H20.

Thanks for the reply. I have a 78 JMP Master 50 watt Combo with Greenbacks and a DSL 50 with a 1936 cab with G12 -75's. The G12 75's just dont break up like the Greenbacks and they really push the bass. I'm thinking the 1960 cab with Greenbacks and a 100w version of a JMP or a DSL would be the ticket. 100w heads seem to growl a bit more than the 50's. Thanks again.

Anytime!!!! I have a cab with G12-75s and I agree. The Greenbacks would growl! I just picked up a Marshall model 425 4-12 cab with Greenbacks in it. Man, what a difference. I really liked my DSL before but that cab made a world of difference in the tone I get now. Im really happy. I also just bought an 07 SG3. Black with Gold 57 Classics and Gold Hardware. The cool thing is that it has one Volume and one Tone with a selector switch that gives you 6 different combinations of those pickups. Like the switch on BB Kings Guitar.
