Greetings AG Family,
I HAD A BALL!!! Awwww, but enough about me! The people had a ball too!
Bossman John Hammond was MC'ing with "Good Time" written all over him! It's great to see the people running an event actually enjoying the music! And, there was Brother Spike with his night-long smile! (p.s. I think if it last more than 4 hours he should seek medical attention!)
And, yes, the packed dance floor! Packed all night long! They came for good food, good music, and good times!
Kelly Richey and her band ignited the evening with non-stop, in your face guitar! She definitely has the "TOUCH"!
AG, Roger, Roberto, Melva & Pinky came to take no prisoners and kept the fire burning with the knock-out 'one, two punch' Soul Power to Fly Away! Gonna Have A Party...dance floor still packed! Tilt-A-Whirl to Circles to Testify & I'm like a whooped puppy! (southern slang for YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!) When they kicked in with my favorite "Every Everybody"! Did I say I, we were having a ball!?!
They brought Love's Got the Power out for a well appreciated encore with a special acapella ending!
For the icing on the cake, Johnny Neel kept it kicking with his kick-ass keyboard & a fine bunch of guys backing him up! Hail Yea!
AG & Johnny seemed to connect like brothers. They started jamming at the hotel after party trying to out do each other with hilarious x-rated lyrics. Ahhhhhh, Lo IS me! HAHA! Good times were had by all. That would explain why this report took a couple of days!
Now for an example of good coming out of bad....
A malfunctioning lock on the bus almost prevented the load-in! All team players went in Red Alert and a locksmith from the neighboring town rode in and saved the day. Troy popped the lock & decided to stay and catch the show since he had his lovely wife Lisa with him...well as it should be they got hooked, line & sinker!!! Let me say, they have been properly welcomed into the AG "Family"!
That's why I, er, we the people are having a ball! Because I, er, we DESERVE it!!!
Ohio here we come!!! Over and Out!
Your Conductor,
Lothar
