Hey hey hey! The blues is GOOOOOD..... in Hillsdale!
We had all hands on deck with my partner Larry on board. We've been here before so it's full speed ahead to 'BRING IT' to the fine people of Michigan. This was our third consecutive year playing the Checker Records Street Fest. We brought 3 GPS's, an Atlas and a paper map and we were still making U-Turns! Larry & Lo's Tour Management at your service!
Thanks to John and Checker Records for hosting the band on a beautiful summer day. When we got back stage the 6 guys in the stage crew made it seem like 100 as the change-overs were efficient and lightning fast, and friendly. The 'Kids' got the shaking going with the 'signature' Blues in Technicolor til they got to sit a while through When the Right Woman Does You Wrong - only to get up for the standing ovation. Anthony has been promising John that he would play the song and finally made good on his word. Rightfully so I must say! Then the Kids kept 'em shaking with Room 414 , a little change of pace with Voodoo Moon and right back to slammin & jammin Circles! WOW for sure! Then the lightning change-over and Anthony's mentor/big brother Walter Trout and his kickass band kept the blues blasting! A gorgeous summer day, the sun disappearing, and Trout doing some awesome Luther Allison! Oh Yeah! Then Walter invites Anthony and Harper up to Jam & shake the house down! Me & the People got what we deserve! Haha! That's my story & sticking to it!
Did I say bringing we were bringing it it to them? The people brought it to us! WOW to Nashville Kathy traveling the furthest, most often! Youngstown Sharon, lovely Chicago Cindy, sweet Red, Miss Cheryl (keep the goodies coming & the crackers found a good home in Chesterton, IN.) Jim & Cathy my favorite Hoooosier neighbors, Ken & Sue, and a big hug out to Angie for getting Steve and Julie to take a break from their hectic retirement schedule and shake some boote'! Opportunities for shaking they got! ' Larry says: well Lo, As usual you forgot a whole lot! And your notes are not-helping much either! And I am really exhausted! As you know I am not 60 anymore! When I recuperate from this glory run, I will print out my notes, til then maybe the editor can help you! Larry. Lo says: Yes Larry, rest up and we will get the 'Children of Fallen Riders' report out properly! Yeayeayea!
Over and Out,
Your Conductor,
Lothar
