Hello Family!
Warm greetings to all the family, fans and friends!!!
It's another Larry & Lo Show coming at you from Springfield Missouri. Monte Lorts sure knows how to celebrate! Bring Anthony Gomes and Biscuit into town to party and Celebrate his 60th birthday properly! As a bonus, it also just happened to be Larry's 63'rd! AG announced from the stage that he was taking bets on who would fall down first, Monte or Larry! Rumors have it that Larry won that bet! In fact, for once Larry was the last man standing.
Speaking of the stage... what a musical event the night was! Biscuit opened the show and got the crowd hoppin' with his infectious funky blues and properly prepared the audience for AG's "Face-Rippin" High-energy Blues spectacular!!!
The peace the love the love guitars were all over the place. AG, Roger and Theo were on FIRE, just like the new candy apple red Fender Stratocaster Anthony was sporting. And he introduced it properly with White Room right into the awesome One Last Time where he hit some of his high vocals! Right into Technicolor then a new song called White Line Fever.
They're are still tweaking that one, but it is a real powerhouse.
Anthony sacrificed the red guitar to Voodoo Moon, Making us think we may never see it again! Thankfully we saw it return for the kicking jam session! I heard 'Peace, Love & Loud Guitars' for the first time. Yeah, Baby. When this new CD comes out it's going to be hot. I think it will be the album that everyone's been waiting for.
From there to a kickin' after party at the hotel! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! It was in a separate conference room (Sunshine Room B) so we wouldn't worry about the cops and getting kicked out like last time. Oh, was I supposed to say that?
It was truly like a family reunion with many new members jumping on board. Monte had several family in town. Also represented was our "Supreme road mistress" Nashville Kathy, the Sweet Sistas, Jill & Debbie from St. Louis, Larry & Karla... and we are not hugged out yet 'cause Shawna from Joplin, Darlene & James from OK., the Great Rev. Will, Strafford's Margaret & Malissa, St. Louis twins and many more were there to greet us with open arms! Let us rest now for we are exhausted from all this pure pleasure!!!
PS We are co-writing this report from Mt. Home because Lothar stopped by my house to pick up the "Lazy Boy" to spend the rest of the winter on the porch with the Old Dogs in Florida... Karma is a B*TCH isn't it!?
Your Conductors of Rock N Roll,
Larry & Lothar
