Hello from the Motor City,
The guys got up good and early for the 10 hour run to Detroit! They were up at 4:30 in the morning, not bad for a gang whose bedtime is usually 4:30 am. Fred handled it well with 10 straight hours of snoring, Theo showing his 'jet lag' with a nap-attack 5 minutes before load-in...and it looked as Anthony may have written a new tune as he bopped in and out of the twilight zone! Yeayeayea !
Load-in and sound check went smooth and easy with Christine taking excellent care of us. Pete on the sound is a true professional! And, he remembered me from way back when we were here in the 'Cowboy' days! Ohhh the memory abilities of some people! Sod at the door, continuously checking on our needs! Thanks Man.
Which reminds me, I finally know Toledo Jeff, after maybe only the 8th meeting, and great seeing Ken and Sue, and remembering their names for the second time in about 20 meetings. I think I have trouble with their names as they seem so quiet and reserved...I hope to banter with you guys on the Forum, Show Reviews and Set Lists, and get to know you kids better! PS. That WAS a commercial!
And great seeing Steve and Julie again to talk of the rough winter we had in Florida, with all the pollen and bugs and Palmetto things!!!
Happy Birthday Julie!
One of the things that make AGB shows so cool is how personable they become...example...Sweet Little Sista Angie taking a gracious, smiling bow on stage as Anthony announced her birthday and thanked her for choosing to celebrate her birthday with us! Alright!
But the really cool thing is the kickass music these guys produce up there LIVE, and in your face! As soon as I get back to earth I will go to the Forum Show Reports and talk about the show like the 'Old Yahoo Days'! Right Julie!
Next stop Bloomington, IL! Look out because it's gonna be the Lo and Larry Show!
Yeayeayea!
