Ahhhh, the first (real) day of summer! Mid 80's, sunshine, dogs & hogs and a great cause. Tim Atkins and all their volunteers showing their devotion to "Children of Fallen Riders" to bring together great people, with great music, for a great cause on a stunning summer day! I'm In! Let me double down!!!
Well the great music on the stage out shined the sweltering summer afternoon! Bring it on! Total package meltdown! Once I've been 'Blues Child'ed, well it's lala, de, da land for me! So thankfully 'MOM' (Tim's Mom), seeing my plight, stepped it up and connected the people with the CD's as Anthony, Fred and Theo connected, LIVE, SMOKING, with the crowd, and me! Oh, the benefits of my career! A cranking first set, short break, and right back to a long, burning set full of unique compilations and jams! Bring It!
Young 'Spud' with the 'Touch' Sean McKee in the house, showing his stuff for a few tunes and jamming with the Master! Hail Yea! The sound engineer getting up to sing a few! I did say unique!
With no signs of their exhaustion visible, and the crowd's pleading for an encore, the Boys dug deep, again, and delivered the meds full dose! Wow! Thank you Anthony, Fred and Theo!
It was good to see and hug sweet Dawn again! Yes! Scott, superfan from last year, in the house and pumped up properly, spreading the word! On the spot Bill McKee, STILL, making LP Management all it can be, as if Larry was not AWOL! Thanks Bill. Larry, we will have a talk!
No way the Energizer Bunny could keep up with these guys in August!
Henry K. would be proud of these guys for torturing their body clocks so relentlessly, and giving it their usual 110% on the stage! Right On! Starting from the body-clock whoopin' of the Michigan Madness, to the 'Ends of the Earth' run up north, to the 'Louie to McHenry in 11 hrs., ( with a 6 hr. drive squeezed in). All this in 3 consecutive weekends! Exhausted...pleasant, satisfied exhaustion from doing it Right!
Now, for a short rest in 'Louie for the blasting to be delivered to Peoria, in the Land of Lincoln! Yeah yeah yeah!
Peace, Love and Loud Guitars
