End of Summer That Never Was Tour!
Nantucket-Wheeling, West Virginia-Tuscarwaras, Ohio-Du Bois, Pennsylvania-Woonsocket, Rhode Island......Ohhhh Yea!
Ha! Getting lost and stranded on a strange, dark, dock from the Nantucket Ferry, did not put a damper on this Summer blast to the East!
It only made me run for the first time in 7 years, and fall off the 'wagon', again! Oh Me!
But I tell you, the benefits of this career are priceless! Giving the Islanders a taste of what the people on the mainland enjoy, and of course hanging backstage with Biscuit, Dr. Love, Bobby, and SouthSide Alex, is some of that Priceless! Paul BenJamin and his Lovely better half, making it right!
Anthony, Fred and Theo bringing the firestorm to Wheeling, W. V. with a Radio interview with Lisa and Bruce and Anthony talking about America's homeless issues, music and the medicine! Right on!
Pittsburgh family in town to enjoy the roasting, Don and Kali! Got to thank Don for the parking help, as Larry has been suspended til he gets the Mountain Home Road Report delivered! Dustin! On the sound! Giving the loud guitars all it had! Blowing the bass speakers 4 chords from the end! My Man!
With Wheeling properly 'Smoked', and Canal House just a skip away, the boys were in top form to do Ohio properly! A new tune, 'This Broken Heart of Mine', unique and compelling to say the least, shows these guys aren't done breaking new ground! Good ole Dave in the house, who appears to know me better than I do! Super Sharon getting her deserving meds! Vince and Sis Lisa properly representing family unity!
Speaking Family! Treasure Lake Meltdown, Du Bois, is the Real Deal! George, Patty, and Kurt running a great ship out there in the mountains! Our awesome welcoming committee, Gloria and Ken on duty and in position for their scorching! My Man, Rockin Rod spreading the smiles and testing that new hip out on the dance floor! Great seeing Mr. and Mrs. Tool, for sure, Miss Ann, Super Brother Greg, and forever smiling Denise! F A M I L Y! The great Cammer in the house, and, bringing it over the top, and doing a Bang Bang Gitty Up Bang Job, Mr. Tool, Rockin Rod, Super Brother Greg, and Patty singing chorus to Painted Horse!!! BRING IT! We Be In Cowboy Country! Yeayeayea !
A special thanks to Dan and Patty Trubiana for their generous donation to the Music Is The Medicine foundation, and sparking a giving spree! Thanks kids! And thank you to Fish, Jodie, MeeShell, and Katie, and Fred and Theo for the unlimited laughs at the after-party! Yes!
The smooth traffic and new E-Z Pass made the run to Delaware seem like a breeze. Super Fan Joyce in the house, giving it that hometown feel, as did the warm welcome from Karen at the bar, Ken knocking it out on the sound, and boss Craig treating us as royalty! Hail Yea! As the Boys rained down their musical Hail Fire! Ha!
Then it's off to the Great Chan's, great food, great sound, great sold out show when the Anthony Gomes Band is in the house! Sherry and Kathy getting us fed properly, Bob doing the sound right, awesome Johnny Chan's intro to a Smoking night! Great to see some Chan's regulars, Roy, Phil, and of coarse the 'Fans From Chan's' I happened upon in Calabogie! So cool! Danniel doing her East Coast road trip, with Super Fans from way up there in Maine, Ron and Lisa, starting the road-trip fever I am so familiar with! Keep on kids! Last but not least, my man Jerry and lovely Ava, making the after party all it could be! Yeayeayea
Peace. Love. Loud Guitars!!!
For Sure!!!!
